Very sturdy feel, nicely made. Came pretty sharp... but after a hand sharpening it's now VERY sharp. Fits the hand well, nice finish on the blade. Overall very pleased thus far...

Before you read this please understand I'm a bit of a perfectionist. I'll start with the blade, it appears to be a genuine demascus forged steel blade.
I have no way of confirming the hardness of the blade short of taking a file to it. The grind is a bit asemetricle twards the point, but doesn't affect the tip.
The edge was sharp out of the box, but no way near the sharpness I like. A few drags across a stone made it wicked sharp. I'll see soon enough if it will hold its edge. There is a very slight curve on the rear 1/3 of the tang. However some excellent handle craftsmanship makes it near impossible to detect. There is a very very small sepation on one side of the bolster. The wood in the handle appears of good quality. Pommel no issues. The sheath is made of good quality leather, a loop in the stitching may cause seperation over time. It fits great on the belt. It holds the knife securly and easily removable.
I gave this knife 5 star rating because as hand made knives go absolute perfection is very rare. It's well built, strong heavy blade. For me it looks better in person. Well balanced. Would I buy it again? Hands down, yes! Would I recommend dkc knives? Yes! They even sent a knife care sheet along with the blade. A little extra step that showed me they are well invested in what they do.
Thanks dkc knives. My grandson thanks you too as I'm sure it will last long after I'm gone.
